We are not new to roasting or serving coffee, over 20 years were spent learning the trade with the pioneers of the direct-trade, craft coffee movement in Portland, and San Fransicso, and New York; and then, the rocky mountain west and all its magic called us in. 

The purpose of Welcome Stranger Cofee is to cultivate relationships, meet new people, learn from their adventures, and to share our reverence for the wild and sacred places that surround us. Our work is motivated by a love of nature, art, americana, craftsmanship, the deep history of the American West. 

Working in coffee is an opportunity to operate well in the world, we do take the craft seriously, but not so much ourselves. It’s just coffee, and coffee is a pleasure. Coffee can be a private mediation or an agent of social connection. It’s something delicious we love to share.
